SVP Electrical Consulting Inc. is an independent electrical consulting engineering firm based in Toronto, Ontario, providing dedicated electrical design and consulting services to architects, developers, property managers, and institutional clients across the Greater Toronto Area and beyond.
SVP was founded by Sahar Akbari-Hudson, P.Eng., a Professional Engineer with over 15 years of experience in electrical design and project management for building services. Prior to founding SVP, Sahar spent several years as a Partner at a major Toronto-based multidisciplinary consulting engineering firm, where she led the design and delivery of electrical systems for a wide range of building types, including mixed-use residential, commercial, retail, healthcare, institutional, and international projects.
As a focused electrical-only practice, SVP is built to give clients direct, senior-level attention on every project — without the scheduling and staffing competition that can come with being one discipline inside a larger multidisciplinary firm. Every project benefits from Sahar's direct involvement, hands-on technical review, and a design philosophy grounded in practical, buildable, code-compliant solutions.
